I love these bookends! Saw them while traveling, ordered them with ease from Amazon. They arrived shortly after ordered and look very attractive in my office.

I got these along with a set of the guy version. They work well without any issues. I have them holding up a whole row of heavy textbooks. I can remove textbooks without worrying that one or two will fall over and knock the end off. Let the textbooks fall sideways! These can hold it. I tested it.
They add a nice decorative feel to the bookcase as well, so you get something useful and decorative at the same time.
